相遇萊特堡

“Well, you could go through the marsh, trek through the forest and go through the Cave of Dragons ,” said Mark.

            “We’ll do it!” cried April and May together.

            They set off with backpacks full of food and set off toward the marsh.  They hopped across the rocks to avoid drowning and climbed trees to avoid the quicksand in the forest.  Lastly they approached the  Cave of Dragons .

            “Gulp,” gulped April.

            “All we have to do is wait until the dragons are asleep and go through,” May whispered.

            They tiptoed in at night.  They were about to climb the ladder when May tripped. 

“Whoa!” screamed May.

            Immediately all of the dragons woke up and started breathing fire.

            “Uh oh,” whispered April.

            The dragons started creeping toward them.  Both April and May stood there frozen with fear.  Finally May shouted … “RUN!”

            So April and May turned around to find the ladder but it wasn’t there.  April thought, “Oh please, where is the ladder?  Please!  It has to be here!”  Suddenly the ladder appeared out of nowhere.

            “Let’s go!” shouted April pulling May with her.

            “Phew that was close,” breathed May.

            “I know but let’s not stand here all day talking about it,” smiled April.

            “Well let’s go home now.  And we should tell our parents we got lost in the woods.”

            And they walked back home.
